TheatreCHS Presents Family-Friendly "SpongeBob: The Musical"

More than 70 students at Charlottesville High School will present “SpongeBob: The Musical” this Thursday, February 15 through Sunday, February 17 at CHS in the Martin Luther King Jr. Performing Arts Center.

“SpongeBob: The Musical” brings the characters of the popular television cartoon show and adds captivating song and dance to make an exciting, family-friendly event. When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world!

SpongeBob spreads joy and hope, and that is a perfect match for the energy of our student-performers,” said Director David Becker. “Audiences right now are seeking some comfort that our world will get better – and both the ideas of this musical and the spirit of the performers offer that positive message.”
